To wear or not to wear, that is the question.
Cosmetics have been around for aeons, but do they really make the wearer more attractive? There has long been a difference between what the female population deem gorgeous and what the male population want.
When asked, most men say that women are at their most beautiful first thing in the morning, their hair all messed up and their face makeup-free (apart from the morning after the beer-goggled night before). However, most women feel at their most confidently gorgeous under a mask of makeup and products.
In the world of pulling does this discrepancy really matter?

Makeup is a personal thing and part of a person's individual look, however if you do wear it you should try to use it to enhance your features rather than hide them and never, ever try a new look/ technique five minutes before leaving the house.
The base: There has been a big move away from heavy foundations and bases in the cosmetics world, and most people now leave their skin to breathe. Use a good skincare routine instead, and keep a concealer for those blemishes. After a while your skin will look and feel much better for it. If you're having a bad day on the complexion front try mixing some foundation with some moisturiser for a lighter effect.
Which feature? Pick your best feature from your eyes, lips or cheeks as your focus and leave the other two subtle. Usually bold colours/ effects on both lips and eyes can look a bit 'drag queen', so don't do it unless your name's Edna.

Lauren (19): "I used to wear lots of foundation daily but for the last year I have not, mainly because my boyfriend thought I looked better without it. My skin has become so much better since and I feel more confident, am happier in myself and thus look better."
Claire (20) says she'd never even contemplate going on a date without wearing makeup: "How can I flutter my virtually non-existent eyelashes without five coats of mascara to bulk them out? When you go out on a date or on the pull you are presenting yourself as a package for the other person. You want to feel sexy, look good and cover any blemishes and imperfections you may have. You want to appear perfect."
Fay (24): "I don't normally wear makeup but I do if I have a date or am seeing a boy because makeup makes me look nicer. I still don't pile it on, just highlight my best features with some mascara, eyeliner, oh and maybe some concealer. I don't care how I look in the office, but boys are a different matter."
James (23): "I think that it depends on the girl... Some girls look great with the natural look, some greater with the vamp... and some even look good with both.... I'd probably say that I prefer the natural look, as I think too much makeup can make a girl look fake, but as long as the girl wears what suits her, she can look great."
Craig (23): "Instinctively I would vouch for the natural look; there's nothing worse than inch-thick face paint on a woman. Also, the time women spend doing this mad layering routine every morning seems completely bizarre. However, I can understand the attraction of 'covering up' if you've got a 50p size zit on your chin - if guys had something to hide this sort of thing I'm sure they'd take up the opportunity too."
Joe (21): "I have a thing about lipstick, I hate it. It's a real turn off especially the scarlet stuff, I want to kiss a girl's lips not a pile of greasy crap."
Bobby (20): "It has to be the natural look for me. A little make-up is okay, but if it's too heavily slapped on, who knows what they really look like underneath...?"
So basically don't overdo it!
