Camden Crawl

What: Look on MySpace - indie unknown stars of tomorrow play to the emo masses.
Where: Well, durr! Camden, London, England.
When:
19th - 20th April.
Line-up: Last year saw Klaxons, Guillemots and The Fratellis play before everyone was talking about them. Want to be cool and in-the-know first? Go!
Cost: £37.50 for a two-day ticket, single-day tickets available.
Camping: In London? In an unknown band's smelly mini, more like.
Transport: Drive, bus, tube, train -  it's London, baby.
Parking: Will be a bitch.

Triptych Festival

What: The Scots like a drink, so good thing the Scottish beer company, Tennents Lager, have organised this beer and music fun fest.
Where: Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen.
When: 25th - 29th April.
Line-up: A cool collection that includes CSS, Terry Riley, Gruff Rhys, Boom Bip, Electrelane, Cat Power and Bats For Lashes. Check it out.
Cost: You buy tickets for the individual gigs, they start at £6 and go up to £20.
Camping: You'll have to sort yourself out with a B&B, or a mate's floor, or a star's hotel room, or a suitable gutter.

All Tomorrow's Parties - The Dirty Three

What: Go and play happy campers at Butlins, Minehead and hear some top bands while you're at it. The Dirty Three curate this one.

Butlins, Minehead, Somerset
When:
27th - 29th April
Line-up: Nick Cave, Grinderman, Cat Power, The Drones, Joanna Newsom etc.
Cost: £120 - £140 for the weekend, depending on the accommodation you choose.
Camping: Your ticket includes three nights' accommodation in a chalet on site, or book into a B&B nearby.
Transport: You can drive and park on site or catch a train to Taunton from where there's an hourly bus to the festival, last one at 10.15pm.
